Mrs. L.D. Sherman is seeking assistance for Quincy Dean Sittingdown in getting his educational loan cancelled due to new legislation regarding individuals with Native American heritage. Sittingdown is a 32-year-old Cherokee man serving in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. His grandfather and father owned tax-exempt lands in Oklahoma. Sittingdown is a distinguished military graduate from Hardin Simmons University and is married with two children. Mrs. Sherman provides detailed information about Sittingdown's family background and education, and requests assistance from Senator Fred Harris in helping Sittingdown with his loan cancellation.
