Scope and Contents
James E. Curry, an attorney, is writing to the Seminole General Council and Congressman Carl Albert about a case involving Indian trust funds being used to pay lawyers for questionable legal work. Curry is urging intervention in the case to prevent a dangerous precedent for all Indians. He is critical of government lawyers and Commissioner Louis Bruce for not taking action. Congressman Albert's office assures Curry that the matter will be brought to his attention upon his return to Washington.
