Scope and Contents
Senator Fred R. Harris received a letter from Patty C. Allen about difficulties she was facing at Chilocco Indian School. He contacted the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs for a report. The report stated that Mrs. Allen was having issues with her supervisor, Mrs. Leola Taylor, regarding educational leave for the summer. The Area Personnel Officer met with Mrs. Allen and her supervisor to resolve the issue. Mrs. Taylor assured cooperation, and a plan was developed to meet Mrs. Allen's certification needs and benefit the education program at Chilocco. Mrs. Allen was encouraged to support the school's objectives and continue good relationships with the staff.
