Scope and Contents

A letter was sent to Hon. Carl Albert in October 1948 from W. E. McIntosh, representing the American Indian community in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The letter asked if Nominees for the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives would introduce an Appropriation Bill to pay approved claims by the Indian Claims Commission for tribes in Oklahoma if elected. The writer requested an early reply in support of justice for the American Indian.
