1949 Letter Regarding Per Capita Payment Distribution to Choctaw and Chickasaw Nations' Enrollees, 1949-01-01 - 1949-12-31
Scope and Contents
The Acting Secretary of the Interior is informing Hon. Carl Albert that each enrollee of the Choctaw and Chickasaw Nations will receive a per capita payment of $350 from funds accrued and received from the sale of mineral deposits. The distribution process will be facilitated by the Superintendent of the Five Civilized Tribes Agency, with payments to living enrollees to be made first followed by applications for inherited shares. Special forms for identification purposes are being mailed to enrollees for processing of claims.
