Scope and Contents

The document is a series of communications regarding the establishment of a field office in Broken Bow for processing claims of the Choctaw Tribe. Congressman Carl Albert is coordinating with the Indian Service and the Superintendent of the Five Civilized Tribes Agency to expedite per capita payments to the Choctaws and Chickasaws. There is a request to station a clerk in Broken Bow to assist with processing claims. The Superintendent assures that every effort is being made to expedite the payment to living allottees.
