Scope and Contents

Mrs. Mary Sanders wrote a letter to Congressman Carl Albert inquiring about the payments to the Choctaws and Chickasaws for the sale of their coal lands to the government. Congressman Albert responded, stating that the payments were delayed and now expected in September, despite earlier promises of payment in July. He assured Mrs. Sanders that he was working to expedite the process and invited her to contact him with any further questions.
