Scope and Contents
Mrs. Lizzie Whitener wrote a letter to Carl Albert requesting application blanks for payment to the Choctaws and Chickasaws for the sale of their coal and asphalt lands to the government. Carl Albert responded, stating that the blanks would be provided by the Superintendent of the Five Civilized Tribes Agency in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He also offered his assistance and encouraged Mrs. Whitener to reach out if she needed any help.
