Scope and Contents
Mrs. Mahan inquired about the payment to the Choctaws and Chickasaws for the sale of their coal and asphalt lands. Mr. Carl Albert, M.C. informed her that payments to enrolled members would begin that month and would be around $350. He advised her to provide her current mailing address to avoid delays in receiving the check. Mrs. Mahan thanked Mr. Albert for his attention to their affairs in Washington.
