Scope and Contents

Mrs. Susie B. Williams wrote to Congressman Carl Albert inquiring about the time of payment to the Choctaws and Chickasaws for the sale of their coal and asphalt lands to the government. Congressman Albert assured her that payments would begin in July and that efforts were being made to expedite the process. Mrs. Williams was asked to inform her neighbors about the upcoming payments.
