Mrs. Myrtle Kisten wrote a letter to Congressman Carl Albert inquiring about the delayed payment to the Choctaw and Chickasaw tribes for the sale of their coal and asphalt lands to the government. Congressman Albert responded, informing her that payments would begin in July and be mailed out by the Five Tribes Agency in Muskogee. Mrs. Kisten expressed her concerns and requested more information on the exact date of payment.
