Scope and Contents
The letter is informing Mr. Alfred B. Noah that payments to living enrolled members of the Choctaw and Chickasaw tribes for the sale of their coal and asphalt lands to the government will begin in July. The office is working to expedite the process and hopes to start payments by September. Members are asked to provide their information on a postcard and not to send unnecessary correspondence. The letter expresses hope that the payments will be received soon.
