Letter to John Denton Regarding the Sale and Payment of Choctaw and Chickasaw Indian Lands, 1949-08-01
Scope and Contents
Mr. John Denton received a response from Carl Albert regarding the payment to Choctaw and Chickasaw Indians for the sale of their lands to the government. Albert explained that the process of making payments takes time as forms need to be mailed out, returned, and payrolls made up. Denton was advised to contact the Superintendent to request an application form for payment. Denton also expressed his need for the payment due to his medical expenses.
