Scope and Contents

A group of Choctaw and Chickasaw citizens from the Old Choctaw and Chickasaw Nations are petitioning the Oklahoma Congressional delegation to oppose legislation that would extend the time for leasing coal and asphalt lands for 15 years. They believe that this extension would decrease their chances of selling the land, which has been authorized by the National Congress.
