Scope and Contents

The Chickasaw Nation plans to establish an experimental summer school in six areas, involving planning, introduction to the community, orientation, program operation, and evaluation. Education personnel and administrative staff will recruit local teachers and teacher-aides with input from the community. The summer school will last four weeks and include a field day to showcase student work and recognize outstanding students. The curriculum will be tailored to the needs of Indian students.
