Scope and Contents
In 1975, a meeting was held to discuss education in Chickasaw Country and determine future program objectives. It was decided to submit a proposal for a Tribally operated educational program in FY1976, with four parts including bilingual classes for Indian children, special programs for Indian handicapped children, testing services for college or vocational school decisions, and informing parents about education matters for Indian children.
