Scope and Contents

The Chickasaw Nation is implementing a program to address the needs of Indian children in predominantly white schools. Training sessions will cover topics such as Title IV programs, Oklahoma Public School Law, Indian culture, and educational needs. The goal is to increase awareness of the challenges faced by Indian children and help them succeed in the educational process. The Chickasaw Tribe has a history of addressing the needs of Indian children, including providing health care and improving curriculum materials.
