Scope and Contents

The Bureau of Indian Affairs is proposing that Indian tribes elect their Principal Chiefs, but some Chiefs have not responded. There is concern about opposition from some groups, but overall there seems to be support for the idea. The Bureau is waiting for feedback from the Oklahoma delegation before proceeding.
