Scope and Contents

Senator Fred R. Harris received a letter from Mr. Jordan Yackeski regarding an incident at the Ft. Sill Indian School involving employees Mr. Cookson and Mrs. Suminski. The Anadarko Area Office of the Bureau of Indian Affairs addressed the issue and provided counseling to the employees involved. The Muskogee Area Office also received correspondence and requested action be taken on the matter. Mr. Yackeski's letter detailed the incident where Mr. Cookson acted rudely towards Mrs. Suminski in front of students, causing concern among the students about the behavior of school employees.
