Scope and Contents

Mr. Horsechief wrote to Senator Fred Harris requesting a copy of the public law naming peyote as a narcotic and the exemption for the Native American Church. He also expressed his disagreement with the Educational Bill introduced by Senator Jackson and requested a time to testify on behalf of his tribe. Senator Harris responded with the requested information and stated that he would make Mr. Horsechief's desire to testify known to the committee handling the legislation.
