Investigation Report on Railway Mail Service Extension, 1945-08-07

Scope and Contents

Mr. S. S. Duncan wrote a complaint about the mail service between Tulsa, Dallas, and Fort Worth on the Frisco Railroad. After an investigation, it was found that there was no need for the proposed extension of the Railway Post Office (RPO) service. The investigator stated that the mail is not transferred from the Frisco to the Katy Railroad, and that the service provided by the Frisco is adequate. The Division of Railway Mail Service concurred with the recommendation that the proposed service was not justified.
