Resolution Regarding Naval Air Technical Training Center Adjacent to University of Oklahoma, 1946-02-07
Scope and Contents
The Board of Regents of the University of Oklahoma held a special meeting to reconsider the continuance of the Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATTC) next to the campus. After hearing from various stakeholders, the Board concluded that having such a large installation close to the campus would create conflicts and administrative problems, hampering the growth of the University. They decided that the permanent presence of the naval installation was not in the best interest of the University.
