Investigation into Allegations of Confidentiality Breach in Mrs. Murdock's Individual Indian Money Account, 1965-01-01 - 1966-12-31
Scope and Contents
Mrs. Betty Murdock wrote to Fred R. Harris requesting assistance with her account at the Indian Agency in Anadarko. She expressed concerns about unauthorized information being shared about her account and requested action be taken. In response, Fred R. Harris assured Mrs. Murdock that he had contacted the Bureau of Indian Affairs for a full report and would provide further information once available. Mrs. Murdock also mentioned a gas well on her property that pays a small dividend monthly, but she had not received the money she requested from her account since September 1965. She expressed frustration with the lack of communication from the agency and requested that Mr. Harris intervene on her behalf.
