Scope and Contents

Helen Edge, a 53-year-old Caddo Indian woman from Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, is seeking a patent for her land allotment in order to secure a better future for herself and her children. She is currently struggling to make ends meet by working in a cafe, while her son is unable to hold a job due to a sunlight allergy. Despite her efforts, the Agency has denied her application for a patent and advised her to find a better job, which she finds challenging. Helen is requesting assistance from Senator Fred Harris to help her achieve her goal of obtaining a patent for her land and improving her financial situation.
