Scope and Contents

Senator Fred R. Harris returned a tape recording concerning the Yuchi people to Mr. Eugene Maxie, along with a report from the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The report states that the Yuchis are Creek Indians and will be entitled to share in an award granted in accordance with legislation passed by Congress. The report also suggests contacting the Muskogee Area Director for further information. Senator Harris offers further assistance if needed.
