Scope and Contents

The American Indian Institute held its second annual conference at the University of Oklahoma in 1956, with a large number of attendees representing various Indian tribes and organizations. The conference discussed health, social welfare, education, and preservation of customs. The health group recommended better health education and coordination between Indian and non-Indian communities.
