Disposition of Funds for Creek Nation of Oklahoma Judgments Act, 1971-01-01 - 1978-12-31
Scope and Contents
This bill, introduced by Mr. Bartlett and Mr. Brunix, aims to provide for the disposition of funds appropriated to pay judgments to the Creek Nation of Oklahoma in Indian Claims Commission dockets numbered 167 and 278. The funds can be used for any purposes authorized by the principal chief of the Creek Nation and approved by the Secretary of the Interior. The Secretary of the Interior is authorized to prescribe rules and regulations to carry out the provisions of the bill, and funds disbursed under this Act will not be subject to Federal or State income taxes.
