Mr. John Crow, a 1/4 Cherokee from Oklahoma, has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of the Bureau of Indian Affairs by the Secretary of the Interior. He has a background in Native American affairs, having previously served as a superintendent of BIA reservations and as Deputy Commissioner in the 1960s.
