Scope and Contents

David L. Baldwin, an Osage Indian and Superintendent of the Yankton Agency in South Dakota, has been appointed as the new Superintendent of the Osage Agency in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. He will replace John Pappan, who passed away. Baldwin has been with the Bureau of Indian Affairs since 1962, starting as an education specialist and working his way up to Superintendent. He is married with three children. His appointment will take effect on July 25.
