Scope and Contents

The American Legion Post No. 274 in Norman, Oklahoma is seeking ownership of the old Little Axe School building, currently owned by the Department of the Interior. They have reached out to Congressman Carl Albert for assistance in obtaining the property and have also contacted the Department of the Interior directly. The Legion members believe they are eligible for ownership as a nonprofit organization and have outlined their plans to use the building as a community center. They are seeking guidance and support in the process of acquiring the building.
