James G. Carney is protesting the Choctaw Election Committee's decision to exclude 18-year-old Choctaw individuals from registering and voting in the upcoming tribal election. He believes this decision violates the 26th Amendment to the US Constitution and is an attempt to manipulate the election in favor of a particular candidate. Carney is requesting immediate action from the Solicitor's Office to ensure compliance with the new voting law and threatening to take the matter to court if necessary. He also plans to involve state Representatives in addressing the injustice.
