Scope and Contents

Mr. McNeal wrote to George B. Schwabe, a member of Congress, requesting that his nephew, Charles Hargrove, be considered for a proposed bill that would provide land for veterans to farm. Schwabe responded, expressing his hope for the bill's passage and offering to assist Hargrove when the time comes. Schwabe also mentioned his familiarity with McNeal's family and shared personal regards.
