Correspondence Regarding Veterans' Homestead Bill HR 4589, 1945-07-31

Scope and Contents

Mr. Schwabe received a letter from Mr. Moulton regarding a veterans' homestead bill that has not yet been acted upon. Schwabe expresses concern about the lack of support for veterans from the New Deal majority in Congress. He mentions that if the bill passes, the Bureau of Reclamation will survey the land and divide it into parcels for veterans. Mr. Moulton requests more information about filing for this land once the bill is passed.
