Correspondence Regarding Representative Schwabe's Bill for Oklahoma Veterans' Homesteads, 1945-12-14
Scope and Contents
Mrs. Lee Gwinn wrote a letter to Representative George B. Schwabe inquiring about a bill (HR 4589) that seeks to provide Oklahoma veterans with homesteads at Chouteau, Oklahoma. The Secretary, Camille M. Gameau, responded to Mrs. Gwinn stating that Mr. Schwabe is not expected back in Washington until after the New Year and that the bill is pending in committee, with no action to be taken until probably sometime next spring. Gameau suggested that Mrs. Gwinn write again in March or April for more information on the project.
