Correspondence Regarding the Indebtedness of Albert and Theresa Tahsequah, 1966-01-01 - 1966-12-31
Scope and Contents
Senator Fred R. Harris received a letter from Mr. J. V. Long, Manager of Nationwide Finance Company, regarding the indebtedness of Albert and Theresa Tahsequah. The Bureau of Indian Affairs provided a report stating that Mr. Tahsequah's small lease income from trust Indian land would not be enough to reduce the debt. The Bureau recommended that the creditor work with Mr. Tahsequah to settle the debt. Senator Harris referred the matter to the Bureau and requested further investigation.
