Manuel A. Ferran, a student at the University of Oklahoma, is seeking advice from Senator Fred R. Harris on potential topics for his PhD dissertation related to economic problems among American Indians. Harris suggests contacting Dr. William R. Carmack at the Department of Interior for information and Mrs. Iola Taylor at Oklahomans for Indian Opportunity for economic statistics on Oklahoma Indians. Harris also offers to provide a speech he made on Indian affairs for reference.
