Correspondence Regarding the Contract Dispute of Ralph White with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, 1966-05-12
Scope and Contents
Ralph White is expressing frustration in a letter to Senator Fred R. Harris regarding a farming and grazing lease contract that was not returned to him on time by the Anadarko Indian Agency. Despite mailing the contract on time, it arrived late and was re-advertised, resulting in a higher bid being accepted. White believes the Agency should honor his original contract and is seeking help from Senator Harris in resolving the issue. The Agency has prepared a new lease contract for White's signature, but he is hesitant to proceed without guidance. White also expresses pride in Senator Harris' work and thanks him for his assistance.
