Correspondences Regarding Mrs. Robyrta Dotson's Tribal Affiliation Inquiry, 1966-01-01 - 1966-12-31

Scope and Contents

The document is a series of letters between Senator Fred R. Harris, Mr. Anthony M. Massad, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs regarding Mrs. Robyrta Dotson's tribal affiliation. The Bureau of Indian Affairs states that they do not have records of Mrs. Dotson's father being a member of the Chickasaw or Choctaw tribes, and enrollment in the tribes was closed in 1907. Senator Harris promises to continue to assist Mrs. Dotson in determining her tribal affiliation.
