Proposal for Senator Harris' Column on American Indian Policy in The Saturday Evening Post, 1966-04-26
Scope and Contents
Jim Monroe, the press secretary to Senator Fred R. Harris, sent a letter to Stewart Alsop of The Saturday Evening Post enclosing a Congressional Record clipping of Senator Harris' speech on American Indian policy. Monroe suggested that Senator Harris could write a "Speaking Out" column for the publication on this subject, highlighting his firsthand knowledge of the problems and proposed solutions. Monroe expressed appreciation for Alsop's consideration of the matter.
