Correspondence Regarding Loan Application Denial by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, 1966, 1965-10-25
Scope and Contents
The Bureau of Indian Affairs received a letter from Senator Harris regarding Mr. Myers' loan application. Mr. Myers applied for a loan to refinance debt and cover farm expenses, but the Bureau could not approve it as repayment would take too long. Mr. Myers did not have sufficient security and had outstanding debt with the Department of Agriculture. The Bureau advised Mr. Myers to work out financing with his current creditors. The Bureau thanked Senator Harris for his interest in the matter.
