Progress Report: Establishment and Development of Inter-Mountain Indian School, August 1949, 1949-08-01
Scope and Contents
The Inter-Mountain Indian School in Brigham City, Utah, was formerly known as Bushnell General Hospital and has now been officially designated as the Inter-Mountain Indian School. The school is in the process of being renovated and equipped to accommodate 2,000 students, with a focus on hiring high-quality employees, particularly teachers. Progress has been made in terms of personnel, equipment and materials procurement, building renovations, grounds maintenance, and organizing recreational activities for workers. The school has received positive attention and support from the local community, and is set to open in January with 600 students. Interested applicants for teaching positions should consult Civil Service Circular No. 160 and submit applications to the Civil Service Commission in Denver.
