Scope and Contents
The letter from Hon. Carl Albert informs Mr. W.A. Jaggers that the office will not be involved in the purchase of a house on Choctaw-Chickasaw lands, as the lands are now under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Land Management. Hon. Carl Albert expresses willingness to assist Mr. Jaggers in purchasing the house and requests information from the Indian Agency. Mr. Jaggers, a poor man with a large family, is seeking advice on how to buy or lease a house on land formerly rented from the Indian Department. He hopes to secure a home for his family.
