Scope and Contents
The letter is from Mr. C. C. Gillespie, Sr. to Congressman Carl Albert, requesting help in getting the Indian Department to build a road from Red Oak to Talihina for the benefit of the Indians going to the Hospital at Talihina and to provide rural mail delivery services. Congressman Albert has already taken the matter up with the Five Civilized Tribes Agency and assures Mr. Gillespie that he will do everything he can to get the project started.
