Eligibility for Heirship Payments: A Letter to Mrs. Iola Mae Eubanks, 1950-02-09
Scope and Contents
The letter acknowledges receipt of Mrs. Eubanks' inquiry regarding heirship payments from the Five Civilized Tribes Agency. It explains that heirs not on the rolls of the Chickasaw and Choctaw Tribes are not eligible for payments from the sale of coal and asphalt lands. The letter also mentions that hiring an attorney would not be beneficial as the rolls cannot be reopened to add additional names. The sender will contact the Superintendent for a reply to Mrs. Eubanks' letter.
