Scope and Contents

The document is a series of correspondence between Mr. Ervin Lavers and Carl Albert, a member of the House of Representatives, regarding per capita payments for Choctaw and Chickasaw Indians based on deceased relatives' claims. Mr. Albert has been urging the Five Civilized Tribes Agency to expedite the process, but it is expected to take a year or more to complete due to legal questions of descent and distribution. Mr. Albert assures Mr. Lavers that he will continue to push for a quicker resolution and offers to provide further information if needed.
