Scope and Contents

The letter is from Mr. Cannon to Carl Albert, inquiring about a payment that the Cherokees were supposed to receive. Mr. Cannon received a response from the Five Tribes Agency stating that no Cherokee lands were included in a recent sale. Albert reassures Cannon and offers further assistance if needed. Cannon also mentions that his wife is part Cherokee and received a payment as an immigrant.
