Scope and Contents

A group of Choctaw Indians from Bryan County, Oklahoma, are concerned about a lawsuit involving the Harp family and the Chief of the Choctaws, Mr. J. H. Belvin. They feel that the lawsuit is unfair and are worried about Mr. Belvin's influence over tribal affairs. They are requesting Representative Clem McSpadden to look into the situation and ensure that they have a voice in tribal matters. The document is signed by multiple members of the Choctaw community in Bryan County.
