Scope and Contents
Congressman Carl Albert announced that the prospects of receiving a Choctaw per capita payment were greatly improved with the inclusion of $385,000 in the Second Supplemental Appropriation Bill. This funding was secured by Congressmen Albert and Stigler to fulfill treaty obligations with the Choctaws. The bill was reported by the Appropriations Committee and is expected to pass in the House. Once finalized, payments will be distributed to enrolled members of the tribe.
