Scope and Contents

Congressman Carl Albert introduced a bill, H.R. 6209, that allows Choctaw Indians to vote on the settlement of certain treaty payments, converting annual payments into a lump sum. If approved by a majority vote, funds will be distributed to enrolled Choctaws and their heirs.
