Scope and Contents

Mrs. Victor F. Barnett wrote a letter to Honorable George B. Schwabe expressing her opposition to the proposed Equal Rights Amendment. She believes that the amendment would nullify laws that protect women in the workforce, particularly future mothers. Schwabe acknowledges her letter and assures her that he will study the proposal and consider her views if he is called upon to vote on the legislation.
